Bits & Pieces | Winter 2026 Collection

Watching The Morning Show
With no shortage of content across so many streaming platforms, it's such a great feeling to find a show that hooks you from the start. This absorbing workplace drama features an ensemble cast and timely topics including #Metoo, COVID, and racial power dynamics. The creative team and producers—including Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon—are female-led, which shows in the writing and story lines.

Reading | Heart the Lover by Lily King
My first five-star book of the year—I read it in under 24 hours. I loved how the story unfolded and the intimacy of the characters. In less than 250 pages, King delivers so much heart, longing, nostalgia, and hope.

Listening | Thin Mints by Evan Crommett
Mr. Fleece is usually our resident DJ, so it’s always fun to introduce him to a new song we both enjoy. This one slaps! :)

Drinking | Mr. B's Meadery (White Center)
A new destination for Silent Book Club, my friend and I were instantly smitten with the vibe of this unassuming spot. Inspired by my daughter’s current obsession, I ordered the Sparkling Unicorn Blood—a sparkling raspberry mead. It was yummy! I’d definitely come back for a low-key outing with friends.

Binging | The Four Seasons
I thought Tina Fey's adaptation was heart-felt and funny. There were a lot of nods to the 1981 original, but the series digs deeper into the messy and surprisingly tender nature of evolving friendships and marriages. With just eight episodes, it’s a quick and mostly cozy binge with a side of tearjerker moments.

Dog-earred Pages | 2026

This year, I'm ditching my monthly reading categories and letting book club picks and my personal whims lead the way. After reading over 200 books in the past three years, I have a clearer sense of my tastes and reading preferences. Of course, I still love being surprised, but overall, I plan to stick to books that have stood the test of time—beloved backlist titles with rich world-building, deep characters, and meaningful themes. I'm excited to sprinkle in some re-reads, and hope to include a lot more fantasy this year to anchor my reading in page-turning adventures. I may take on a personal reading project now and then, but for now, here's a peek at some of the titles I'm eyeing:
